While my kitchen does not match, I do have a nice assortment of old pans, plates and utensils. I'm remodeling my kitchen come tax time, so all my stuff will hopefully bec lose to matching.

Mine is the ugliest kitchen of them all! I have a crazy amalgamation of utensils, pots and pans from different places. I've been moving between apartments for a while now so things constantly get lost and replaced. I'm trying to buy a house now and hopefully I'll be able to stock that with remotely matching items.
Nahh, I beg to differ! I'm absolutely positively certain I have you beat. I love cooking and I'm always in my kitchen, but I've noticed that every time the passion is a little less. I was wondering about it a couple of weeks ago and realized it is because my kitchen is so drab, out of sync and just horrid. I need to throw out everything (except my cast iron skillets) and start completely over- from glassware to bake ware to cookware to utensils. Ughhhhh!

I find it hard to get kitchen stuff in the colors I like. I have no problems with kitchen towels and accessories, but pots and pans and things of this nature are really hard to find. Where do you all buy your kitchen items?

I was in my kitchen today looking for a paticular bowl. It occured to me, none of my dishes, pots and pans or untensils match anymore. When I first got married, I registered for all pink kitchen equipment. Yes, pink. My kitchen was so pretty! Everything matched! Even my blender and toaster were pink! My dishes were perfect sets. They were stacked so pretty!
Now, I have all different colors of everything, some plates even with chips in them! What happened?! I guess life happened. I got too busy to worry about if my kitchen matched in color.
What about you? Is your kitchen still pretty? Do all of your appliances and dishes match? Do you think time changes things? For example, when you first get married and have your own kitchen to having it for a long time?
I guess I never really thought about it! If I remember when I first decorated my kitchen, like when I first got married, I think everything did match!!! Looking over things now that really is not the case at all. :) I do have matching dish sets and a few sets of Tupperware but overall it's kind of random. I would guess that over the years things broke and I replaced them with new ones not even thinking of keeping the same color scheme or style.

I do love my kitchen and even though it may not be perfect or perfectly matching it does the trick and I have a very happy and full family!!!

Blessed,
Danyel :)

I wish that someday i will have actually get around to having a kitchen that matches as at this moment in time it nurses a wide array of different colors..thinking about it i have utensils and appliances handed down from my grand- mother and my mother so the chances of me having a kitchen that matches is very slim....never-the-less i just adore my kitchen.

I wish my kitchen appliances and dishes and containers all matched or at least coordinated in that brand new stylish way but nope they don't. Usually, I can set a pretty table with a creative use of what I have though. My serving dishes stay in pretty good shape as they are not used that often but my everyday dishes, pots and pans and small appliances are all pretty sad looking, unless they have broken recently and I had to buy new. But anyone can have nice things if they never use them. A well used kitchen is never going to be spotless and equipped with sparking new things. I count the wear and tear as good value and character.

If by matching you mean the same color then yes, everything in my kitchen is chrome. If by matching you mean matched sets then no, I have odds and ends of everything. I don’t think I’ve ever bought a matched set in my life. Even my dishes (not chrome by the way) aren’t matched. Some of them are green with stripes, the other ones have a red paisley design and then I have some plain white ones. All my baking equipment is chrome though. But even my measuring cups aren’t part of a matched set. I think they once were though. I have a thing for losing utensils, buying new ones, and then finding the ones I lost. But I guess it’s better for everything to be chrome and not match then to have everything be a different color and not match. I’m thinking about re-vamping my kitchen. I actually do want things to match now. I’m planning on getting a ton of Rilakkuma themed things for my kitchen. That way I can drown in the cuteness whenever I go to make something.

I definitely don't have everything that matches, but I would say that most of it still seems to go together okay. I like things that fit a certain style and look, so even though every piece may not match they still look aesthetically pleasing.

I like Inox in my kitchen. Silver mainly. It reminds me on professional kitchens and it is very nice to maintain. No bacteria can hold for too long there and it also looks elegant. Now, my kitchen will look like that but I don't have it yet. When my parents were buying this stuff they were not thinking like me now. So my kitchen is blue and as for the matching, I believe we do not have two same glasses any more or plates. OK, that might not be true abut it is not far either.
