Food photography has come a mighty long way in the past couple of decades. I've even seen old food ads from the 1980's that look kind of disgusting.

This is from the 1980's and it still looks a little weird, though not as bad as the 50's ads.

I can't even joke about this next ad because this is my life and this is what I sometimes end up eating at the end of the month when I run out of money.
Kraft dinner and cut up hot dogs, the official meal of broke college students and struggling single moms.

This Alfresco Olive Salad makes me a little queasy to look at.

Because sometimes you just really need ribs, and you don't want to take the twenty minutes or so to make them. 'MERRICA!

In America, panhandling means begging for money on the street. I hope it meant something different in the 50's or this ad is in poor taste.
