Do you have a special pie you bake for Christmas dinner?

For me, it's sweet potato pie. My family is from the south. They crave this classic dessert during the holidays. This tradition always puts a smile on their face and garners me a lot of compliments.

Wow, this pie looks truly tasty!

I usually bake honey macadamia pie during this season, but not for Christmas dinner, when I have fruit cake starring the desserts selection.

Pie is mostly for reunions that take place before and after Christmas, but I think this time I will try something like this sweet potato pie.

Pecan and apple pies are always on the menu at our house. My dad's favorite pie was pecan, so it would not feel like a holiday without it.

My favorite pie would have to be apple pie. I guess you could call it a american classic. I primarily make it because of tradition and because it is the simplest to make.

I always make pumpkin, cherry, and apple. Pumpkin with a dallop of whipped cream is my favorite of all time.

I always make sweet potato pie for Christmas. I live in the south and I love sweet potato pie. I make five pies for Christmas dinner. I would like to try marshmallows or praline sauce with the pies. The praline sauce looks delicious.

I always bake sweet potato pies. It has always been a family tradition to have a sweet potato pie for the holidays. I have never tried a pumpkin pie and it might actual be better or taste similar, I'm not sure though. Maybe this year, I'll bake both just to change things up a bit.

I love making pumpkin pie, and my mom makes a mean pineapple upside down cake, so we always have at least those two for both Christmas and Thanksgiving. I love pumpkin pie because it's so easy to make. It always turns out moist, spicy and sweet, and tastes great with a dollop of fresh whipped cream on top.
My mom never skimps on the brown sugar on top of the pineapple upside down cake, and she always adds cherries in the curve of the pineapple crescents, so it adds another burst of sweetness to those bites! My mouth is watering as I type just thinking about it!

I also make sweet potato pies for the holiday season. It's a family tradition because my family is from the Southern part of the United States.

Apple is the consistent and cherry a close second.. doesn't always happen though. We always have three kinds.. apple is the only one that makes it every year.
