What is this utensil? Need help sourcing it.

Hi All,

I am struggling to source the attached item, I think its a tea strainer or decorative sieve but I can't find any options online, i'd really appreciate your help?

Yes, it is a tea strainer.

More of the Japanese/Asian variety though, as they use either whole tea leaves or large cut ones......not the tiny cut ones like the rest of us use.

You can also put a small piece of cheesecloth or coffee filter in these, if you want to use the tiny cut tea leaves.

It looks handmade, so you might struggle finding it to purchase online. Where did you see it? What do you need it for?

I think it could also be used as an egg yolk separator, or a small soup strainer?
