I have been trying to find a recipe, off and on, for years, and never been able to secure it. It's a Russian cookie but it's not the wedding/teackae cookies that you see going around all the time.
This is what I don't mean:

So please don't refer me to a recipe like that. ^ Although tasty, and with some similarities, it's not what I'm looking for.
The cookie I am thinking of, I had in Ukraine many years ago when I traveled there. They were rounded and kind of a dense texture like the wedding cookies, but I think they had some oatmeal in them (probably ground, not whole grain), and were not frosted or powdered. We had them almost every day where I stayed. They seemed to be a fairly traditional fare, though at the time i never thought to ask what they were called, or to ask for the recipe.
I'd love to know if anyone else knows what I'm talking about or has a recipe.
