Hi everybody,

I‘m looking for tasty sweet baking recipes (or blogs or cookbooks) which don’t use a lot of sugar and (if possible) use partly whole wheat flour. My difficulty has been finding recipes that don’t immediately also focus on special diets (e.g. vegan etc), reduce fat unnecessarily, or simply replace refined sugar with alternative sugar types (e.g. unrefined sugar, maple syrup, stevia etc.).
Since I became a mother who nonetheless still enjoys baking, I’ve focused on recipes that don‘t require too much time or exotic ingredients. Also, taste not looks is what counts in my book :)

So… any recommendations? Thanks :)

For tasty, low-sugar baking with whole wheat flour, try checking out "Healthy Baking" by Nicola Graimes or "Whole Grain Mornings" by Megan Gordon. Both offer great recipes that focus on flavor and use whole grains. Also, "The Sweetest Vegan" blog has some useful ideas that you can adapt. For a simple swap, you might use ripe bananas or applesauce to cut down on sugar while keeping things sweet.
