Honey or molasses? In Europe, it's honey. In the US, it's molasses. What I like about this recipe is that it uses a combination of honey and molasses.

I guess since it uses honey and molasses you could say these cookies are the best of both worlds and universally appealing! I'll have to give these a try sometime - I've only tried them made with molasses so I'm curious now about the addition of honey and the enhancements it'll make to them!

Molasses has a strong flavor and the honey helps cut down on it.
