Last night on The Great British Bake Off, the showstopper round was bread. So, it got me thinking, what's the most interesting and unusual type of bread you've ever made, either from your own imagination or from a recipe? What made it so interesting - the flavour? The shape?
I'll confess, I've not made that many types of bread. However, one I've made a lot recently that I'm really proud of was my sesame, salt and pepper loaf. Granted, it was just a plain white loaf, but I topped it with sesame oil, sea salt crystals and black pepper, and it tasted great. Maybe next time I'll put those things into the dough as well!
