Depends on how hot we're talking! You can certainly put warm caramel in a piping bag, but if you're handling hot caramel then you need to be sure that the bag can tolerate the heat and that you won't burn yourself when touching it. What are you making with the caramel?
Figured putting the caramel on top with a piping bag instead of a spoon would make things easier. But don't want to add 'piping bag' to the cookie ingredients as well or something lol
Yum, they sound delicious! I can see what you mean about the caramel, as long as it is soft enough (and cool enough) I don't see any reason why a piping bag won't work. If you don't want to go to the expense of buying a piping bag you could make one from greaseproof paper:
