What is the proper way to store Marzipan? I had a teacher say never wrap it in clingfilm, always foil it and put it in an air tight container. Dies anyone know why you never wrap it in clingfilm?

Seems odd advice since some manufacturers of package it in plastic wrap.

Airtight is the key as it will dry out when exposed to air for too long.

Welcome to the forum @Nikkig :)

I'm not sure why your teacher said to never wrap it in plastic wrap, I can't think of any reason why that would be a bad thing to do. When I make marzipan I always make more than I need and wrap the excess in clingfilm before freezing it, and I've never had a problem.
