Let us share and make a...

List of baking terms and their definitions that will help our new members to learn and who are just new into baking..

I will start with these words..

Whip................................... this word means that you to have to stir using a whisk to incorporate air.

Whisk.................................. this is a kind of kitchen utensil that can be use either in cooking and baking that is made of wire loops or plastic material to incorporate air into the mixture.

Good idea!

"Cream together" - usually refers to mixing butter and sugar together, gently at first but then more vigorously as it comes together, until it's pale a fluffy.

Fold in: To gently combine a heavier mixture with a more delicate substance, such as beaten egg whites or whipped cream, without causing a loss of air.

Curdling
Curdling is when a food mixture separates into its component parts. A creamed cake mixture may curdle if the eggs are added too quickly or are too cold. It can be brought back by adding a tablespoon of flour.
