Im not receiving email notifications-please help

I have set in my preferences to receive email notifications -but its not working - Im not receiving them .When will this be fixed ?

Also, can you please check your junkmail/spam folder to see if the site e-mails are ending up in there? I've had a look at the e-mail sending and everything appears to be working ok from this end as far as I can tell.
