How patient are you?

Sometimes I can be impatient and have ruined a few cakes and also yorkshire puddings with opening the oven too soon. (I don't have one where you can see into the oven)

I have learned to be patient, but I am also afraid things may get burnt so now I chance it, better slightly burnt and risen rather than a sunken cake.

I get impatient mostly when making cookies if I have a large batch to do. After about 5 batches I am so over baking at that point. Cakes and brownies are ok because I just set the timer and forget about them until they are done.

I have to think about this one. Thinking, thinking. thinking. I don't bake as much as many of you do, but I guess I might be a little impatient from time to time. I am always rushing so there really isn't enough time in there to be patient:).

I really need to slow it down in the kitchen a a bit and see if that helps me.

I have to admit that I have very little patience. Patience in the kitchen is a struggle for me. I just assume the cookies and cakes be done after 5 minutes of being in the oven but in reality, its not likely. I have both under baked and over baked quite a bit because of my little patience.

I am not very patient. I always want to open the oven and see if the bread or cake is done. Sometimes when I am making bread, I skip a fold or skimp on fermentation times. For cookies, I tend to eat the dough before putting it in the oven haha.

I have a hard time with cookies too because I am afraid they will burn. I find that even if I think I have made them the right size, they always take longer than the recipe says, but how much longer varies by batch and recipe, so I have to check several times to make sure they are really done, but not too dark. It's kind of annoying and makes me a little impatient when I'm looking for the 3rd time and they are STILL way too pale.

I'm not always very patient in every situation (though this is something I acknowledge and actively strive to improve) but I am pretty patient in terms of cooking and baking and such. It takes patience for some things to turn out right, and I'm willing to put in the time and the energy it takes me to be patient to get the best results possible.

It depends on how hungry I am. If I'm hungry while baking, I'll obsessively check the oven every few minutes. If I've eaten, I'll focus my attention elsewhere, like doing the dishes.

I have a hard time being patient and have ruined a couple of cakes and breads due to my impatience...Oops! I do think that cookies need to be looked in on often because they tend to burn very easily. My oven has a glass window, but I think it's hard to see clearly through the window and tell if they are done or not.

I don't have an issue with pulling things too early, but waiting for a cake to cool before I ice it is another story! That is one of my least favorite parts! I've gotten better over the years, but there are still days where I end up with melted frosting on my baked goods lol.

Same here, I love the cake nice and warm, but sometimes you need to let the cake settle first and also they tend to be easier to remove from the tin. I have 'lost' a few by being too eager.
