I made indian fry bread years ago, and it went over pretty well. No idea why I quit making it, but this posts makes me want to find the recipe and start again. I have also made pita bread from a recipe in some cookbook and they turned out fairly well.
I would have to go and find the one I had long ago. It is a bread that is that can either be made with or without yeast, if I remember correctly. It is a bread made for the Sabbath in the Jewish tradition. It is really good and quite filling.
I haven't ever done it myself. Try looking at a few Jewish recipes, maybe? I personally love the yeasty taste and am generally not a fan of flatbreads. To each their own, though.
