Do any of you live there? She has to go to Nationwide Children's Hospital for (hopefully) a gastric pacemaker. She has a chronic illness that makes her nauseous 24/7 and this may be the option that helps her feel like a normal person again. She does school from home - when she can - and really can't eat much. She's lost a considerable amount of weight. We are praying that this is the answer for her!!!

Anyway, just wondering if any of you are from there? Or have been there? We will be staying downtown as that is nearest the hospital. Any places we just HAVE to see/go to? Places to eat?

Thanks!!! :)

I'm about 4,000 miles away sadly, but just wanted to wish your daughter all the best for her appointment and surgery. Being nauseous all the time must be awful, I really hope it works and makes her feel better xxx

Aw! Thanks so much Becky!! :) I guess it will be a "longer" process than we thought. We are still waiting for the referral from Mayo so she can have the tests done. We would have to go there for 2-3 days and then they would run 4 motility tests. Based on that info I guess they then decide if she would be a candidate for the pacemaker. If she is, we have to go back for the surgery. And then, it sounds like we would have to go back there to have it adjusted!! :0 We live in MT so it isn't like we can drive there! Yikes!
I'm praying that the details all work out. :)
