I had made Christmas plumb cake last year and I have leftover preservatives which is almost a year old. They have been soaking in rum ever since! can I use the preservatives to bake cakes this coming December?
I read an article some time ago about a baker who soaks the fruit in liquor for 2 years before baking fruit cake.
