Ooh they look lovely! How did they taste?

Here's my favourite recipe:

250g butter, melted
200g light brown sugar
250g caster sugar
2 eggs
450g self-raising flour
Chocolate chips (however much you like!)

Combine all the ingredients and roll into walnut-sized balls. Put them on a baking tray (leaving plenty of space for them to spread out) and bake in the oven at 180C (fan) for 7-10 minutes. They will still be very soft when you take them out, so leave them to cool and harden before you take them off the baking tray.

They turn out lovely - soft and chewy :)

Your cookies look great! And I spy lots of chocolate chips in there - I love when there's a generous helping of chocolate in any cookie!!

Looking forward to hearing how the taste was!

I remembered before I tried baking chocolate chips cookies and it turns out quite good. But I knew that it is not that perfect and that I still need to search for a more easy recipe. Well, thank you for sharing this recipe and I will surely check on this one. :)

this was my 2nd or 3rd batch of home made ones, well other than a few mistakes by me they came out pretty good

I read the recipe and it said to bake em till the edges are brown and I did, they were way over cooked,I did the first batch in less time and they were a lot better

I just need to cut down the baking time and they should be excellent next time

hopefully :)

and they are whopper sized too lol

You say that like it's a bad thing. :p

They are quite big. Of course, I've never complained about a chocolate chip cookie being too big, ha ha. Now, I'm all tempted to make some. I really don't need them though. Maybe I'll make some when the grandkids are coming over, so I can send most of them home with the kiddos.

When it comes to cookies, this is the best size!! :D

I like it. I never understood why tiny stuff is considered "fun sized." These look fun sized to me. :D

I just use the recipe on the back of the Nestle Tollhouse chocolate chip bag. It has never failed and they always turn out well and are gone in a flash! ;-) I use 2 sticks of unsalted butter in mine. And have always used 2 1/4 cups flour. Seems to work best. Could be because I live in MT - so higher elevation too. :)

these were really good, but I over baked the 2nd and 3rd round, going by them saying to get the edges brown and I mistakenly bought the imitation chocolate chips, instead of the good ones and they were still good

Cookies like that freeze really well - I'd do that if I were you (plus it means you won't need to give any away! :D )
