Chess Cake

My grandmother makes the best chess cake ever! I love it so much and decided that she nor I am getting any younger, so I wanted to learn to make it. It was very easy and I was excited that it tasted exactly like hers! It called for the usual box of yellow cake mix, three eggs, milk, yada yada.

The reason for this post isn't really to share a recipe, but to state that I found all kinds of identical recipes online. So I'm wondering if anyone else has a "special" twist on the chess cake. I'd love to experiment.
