Brown Sugar Covered "Just Bunches" cereal for cookies

I'm currently trying to figure out how to cover those "Just Bunches" honey oat cereal bites that are in Post's Honey Bunches of Oats cereal. I'd like to use some sort of brown sugar paste or cinnamon paste or glaze that will harden around the oat bunches. I'm going to put them inside of cookies, but I'm at a loss on how to make this paste/glaze. Any tips would be greatly appreciated because I can't seem to find anything on the net about it.
